The Conspiracy to Conceal the true fact of Christ Resurrection 3

Now the next day, that followed, the day of the preparation, the chief priests and Pharisees came together unto Pilate, Saying, Sir, we remember that that deceiver said, while he was yet alive, After three days I will rise again. Command therefore that the sepulcher be made sure until the third day, lest his disciples come by night, and steal him away,, and say unto the people, He is risen from the dead: so the last error shall be worse than the first. (1161) Pilate said unto them, Ye have a watch: go your way, make it as sure as ye can. So they went, and made the sepulcher sure,,, sealing the stone, and setting a watch.,

(Matthew 27:62-66|KJV-

Remember that after the burial of Christ, the Pharisees and the chief Priests became worried regarding what Christ said to them sometimes ago; that after three days He will rise from the dead, although they did not believe that statement as a possibility that can happen and the only way they think that statement can come true is by His disciples coming by night to steal His body.

It is on this fear that they ran to Pilate to seal the tomb and also send guard brigade to watch the tomb so as to intercept anyone who might come to steal the body of Christ. Pilate in responses told them to go and ensure that is done, so I believe they choose the best of the guard themselves to keep watch over the tomb that night. So let see what happened next;

But before then I will want you to note that at the very moment Jesus was captured, all His disciples deserted Him, none of them identified with Him again save John the beloved who was at the cross with the other women. Peter in demonstration of this disassociation has to deny Christ three times; so there was nothing from the disciples to insinuate that they can come and break the tomb and take Jesus away. They would have started with a protest the very moment Jesus was captured, they would have mobilized and occupy golgotha but they all fled in fear of the Jews, they ran and locked themselves in one place in fear of the Jews.

Early on Sunday morning, as the new day was dawning, Mary Magdalene and the other Mary went out to the tomb. Suddenly there was a great earthquake; for an angel of the Lord came down from heaven and rolled aside the stone and sat on it. His face shone like lightning and his clothing was a brilliant white. The guards shook with fear when they saw him, and fell into a dead faint.

(Matthew 28:1-4|LIVING-

I want you to really understand what happened at the tomb the very morning Jesus Christ rose from the grave; the bible recorded that an Angel came down from Heaven and rolled the stone, thereby causing earthquake. The guards saw the Angel but due to his awful look and His mighty deed, they failed to the ground and fainted. If you follow the story down from that chapter, you will discover that the stone was not rolled away for Jesus to come out, rather the stone was rolled for the women to enter the tomb and see that Jesus Christ is no longer there! Hallelujah!!!

Then the angel spoke to the women. “Don’t be frightened!” he said. “I know you are looking for Jesus, who was crucified, but he isn’t here! For he has come back to life again, just as he said he would. Come in and see where his body was lying. . . .

(Matthew 28:5-6|LIVING-

One of the greatest worries of these women when approaching the tomb was “who will help us remove that big stone rolled over the tomb for us to enter and anoint the body of Jesus”. So the Angle came down and rolled that stone for the sake of the woman, so when He rolled the stone, he announced to them that Christ is no longer in there, so they can go on and check for themselves.

The key point I want you to understand here is that the Angel did not roll the stone so as to free Jesus Christ from the tomb, rather the stone was rolled to prove that CHRIST is no longer on the tomb. So let see further what happened:

And they departed quickly from the sepulcher with fear and great joy; and did run to bring his disciples word.,, And as they went to tell his disciples, behold,, (2532) Jesus met them, saying, All hail. And they came and held him by the feet, and worshiped him. Then said Jesus unto them, Be not afraid:, go tell my brethren that they go into Galilee, and there shall they see me.

(Matthew 28:8-10|KJV-

So while these women were about taking this news of Christ Resurrection to the disciples, Jesus appeared to them on their way; they saw Him face to face, they even held His feet and He spoke to them to go tell His disciples to come out of their hiding place and meet Him at Galilee. Glory be to Jesus Christ!!!

As the women were on the way into the city, some of the Temple police who had been guarding the tomb went to the chief priests and told them what had happened. A meeting of all the Jewish leaders was called, and it was decided to bribe the police to say they had all been asleep when Jesus’ disciples came during the night and stole his body. “If the governor hears about it,” the Council promised, “we’ll stand up for you and everything will be all right.” So the police accepted the bribe and said what they were told to. Their story spread widely among the Jews and is still believed by them to this very day.

(Matthew 28:11-15|LIVING-

When the guards retuned with the story of what happened at the tomb; the chief Priests quickly summon a meeting where there conspired among themselves to bribe the guards to lie about what they saw; to say to the people that they were asleep when the disciples came and carried the body of Christ away. So the guards agreed and were paid and this lies is still believed among many people and many religion today that Christ did not actually rose from the dead.

But we know the truth, God intentionally allow this lies to spread among the Jews to harden their hearts until the fullness of the Gentiles has come in. It is a continuation of the blindness that God placed upon the Jews so that they will not recognize the Messiah and kill Him and so that they won’t also believe in His resurrection. God is indeed the architect of this conspiracy theory among the Jews.

But we the gentiles believe that Jesus died and rose again, so according to Rom. 11:25, Apostle Paul made us to understand that the hardiness of heart or partial blindness of the Jews will be taken away from them the very moment the fullness of the gentiles have come in; and the fullness of the gentiles will come into the kingdom at rapture; so after the rapture, the Jews eyes will be opened for their own redemption.
