Prayers for those in Authority

Let every soul be subject unto the higher powers. For there is no power but of God:, (1161) the powers that be are ordained of God. Whosoever therefore resisteth, the power, resisteth the ordinance of God: and they that resist shall receive to themselves damnation.

(Romans 13:1-2|KJV-

Dearly beloved in Christ, it is a Civic and divine obligation that we subject ourselves to those that God has placed as rulers over us; we have seen through the scriptures today that all power that exists are of God and nobody gets into the leadership position of any state without God’s own approval, so no matter how wicked or how much you hate or despise your leader; I want you to know this morning that all power that be in place are truly ordained by God and anyone who resist them is actually resisting the ordinance of God and such a person will certainly not end well.

I exhort therefore, that, first of all, supplications, prayers, intercessions, and giving of thanks, be made for all men; For kings, and for all that are in authority; that we may lead a quiet and peaceable life in all godliness and honesty. For this is good and acceptable in the sight of God our Saviour; Who will have all men to be saved, and to come unto the knowledge of the truth.

(1 Timothy 2:1-4|KJV-

Dear people of God, I will need you to also understand that the scriptures has moved us to make prayers for these people that are in Authority; it is the will of God and a matter well pleasing to Him that we remember in prayers those He has set as rulers over us, so we can live in peace with one another and have a quiet and blossom environment within our States; therefore I invite you this blessed day to join in this Holy command as we commend before our Lord and maker the various leaders of our States. I also use this opportunity to appreciate everyone of you from Nigeria, United States, South Africa, Philippines, Germany, Indonesia, Ghana, Bangladesh, Saudi Arabia etc that are following this meeting, may the God Lord continue to uphold you in the power of His might and continue to increase you with His eternal wisdom and grace that brings salvation. Amen. Let us pray;

Ancient of Days, our Lord and King, we come before You this day because it is unto You that answer prayers that all flesh shall come, we acknowledge You for the gift of leaders and government everywhere. Thank You because all government that exist today rest on Your shoulder; Prince of Peace, cause Your peace to settle in the hearts of our leaders, direct their paths and grant them wisdom to direct the affairs of our nations. Fill them with the Spirit of boldness, love, patience, long-suffering, forbearance and concord that through them, our hills and valleys shall yeild forth her increase.

Faithful Lord, we use our president, Mohammed Buhari and his vice prof. Yemi Osibanjo as a point of contact to presidents and leaders of nations; we pray You Oh Lord to work through them that which is Your perfect and acceptable will for us, use them for the glory of your name, deliver them from greed and nonchalancy over the people, cause their hearts and minds to be channel towards the well-being of the state and for the progress of Your people.

We present before you our Governors, ministers, commissioners, law makers, judges, magistrates, law enforcement agencies, traditional rulers etc, merciful God, may Your will over the nations prosper in their hands, may inspire them to always stand for justice, equity and good conscience, fill them with love for the people you have set over them. Take away every spirit of bribery and corruption among them and fill them with truth and sincerity. Protect and watch over their lives as their carry out their official functions, expose those among them that has refused to repeat of their evil ways and finally grant us peace, unity and concord, that through their leadership, Your will be done on earth as it is in heaven through the merit of Your dear Son; Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.
