Doctrine of Redemption

Salvation by Predestination: From Shadow to Substance

By the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, we through revelation saw how Satan corrupted the seed of God and how God demonstrated His compassion for man by slaughtering an innocent animal and use it’s skin to cover the nakedness of man (Gen. 3:21), which is significant to the lamb of God that takes away the sin of the world. We equally saw the result of the fruit which they ate which produced Cain and Abel, two brothers of the same mother but from different father’s because we saw from our previous studies that Cain was the seed of the serpent while Able was the seed of Adam, we equally discovered that the fruit they ate is not apple or mango fruit but sex, you can read it Here. To prove further that Cain was not from Adam, we trace the genology of Adam from various scriptures and we never saw Cain forming part of his genology, 1John 3:12 traced Cain to the devil and we are fully aware that it was the devil that anointed Serpent to do what he did. We also by revelation saw the shadow of God’s redemption plan for his own through the generation of Noah, Noah was not free from the corruption that took over God’s creation as we saw from Gen. 3 but the Bible recorded that he was a righteous man and found grace in the sight of God, God in Gen. 6:13, confined with him His next plan to destroy the earth with a flood, we have already discussed that and you can read the post Here. We also saw another shadow of God’s Redemption plan with Abraham, Isaac and Ismeal; two brothers from the same father but different mother, while Isaac was the chosen one with a promise and God covenant, Ismael was with a blessing but has no hope of promise with God. You can read the full post Here

We also saw another shadow of God’s Redemption plan with the city of Sodom and Gomorrah, while Abraham was busy making suggestions, God already know whom He will save and that was why the Angels went straight to Lots house. We finally saw from the parable of the wheat and Tares, two set of believers that are from the same mother but of different father’s, the mother is the church where the seed was planted, the wheat was planted by God while the Tares was planted by Satan and both of them were planted in the church of Jesus Christ, just like Cain and Abel and just like Isaac and ismeal; that He permitted the two to grow together does not mean He has claimed ownership of both, NO! the foundation of our God stands sure! And He knows His own.

Nevertheless the foundation of God standeth sure, having this seal, The Lord knoweth them that are his. And, Let every one that nameth the name of Christ depart from iniquity.

(2 Timothy 2:19|KJV-

The first understanding you must have regarding salvation is that God is not confused as to who to save and the death of Jesus Christ on the cross is not a trial and error affairs, eternal life is not a game of bet because He will not lose anyone except that son of perdition. From the foundation of the world He forknew those who are His own. He is the one that called His disciples, 11 of them genuine and Judas; Judas was anointed by devil, God knew his source and what he was anointed to do before He called him, but calling him is not enough because many are called but few are chosen. From our previous studies you can see that two set of Christians exist in the church, one origin can be traced to God’s divine Agenda while the other is traceable to Satan agenda, and God is not ignorant of who among them is His own; God when He came to save the generation of Noah was not confused as to who to save, when He came in the generation of Abraham, regarding Sodom and Gomorrah, He was not confused as to who to save, He knew clearly between Isaac and ismeal who is with the promise and who just came to collect blessings.

For whom he did foreknow, he also did predestinate to be conformed to the image of his Son, that he might be the firstborn among many brethren.

(Romans 8:29|KJV-

So from this scripture you can see clearly that there are certain persons whom God forknew, before your mother get married to your father, He forknew you, He forknew the family you will come from, He forknew the country where you will be born; those whom He forknew, He also predestinate them to conform to the image of His son Jesus Christ. So you see that God from the foundation of the world knew all of us and He knows those who will look like Jesus Christ, understand this, nobody become a wheat by mistake and nobody becomes a Tares by mistake, God planted His own and Satan too planted his; God Himself preached to Cain in Gen. 4:6-7 and Cain did not listen to God, just to show you that he was not predestined to conform to the image of God. So we know those who are of Christ by their conformity with God’s word.

But be ye doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving your own selves. For if any be a hearer of the word, and not a doer, he is like unto a man beholding his natural face in a glass: For he beholdeth himself, and goeth his way, and straightway forgetteth what manner of man he was.

(James 1:22-24|KJV-

Cain heard the word instead of him to do what God told him to do (to sacrifice the way Abel did), he went his way and killed his brother; so are many Christians today, who after hearing God’s word, still go about they way to do what pleases their ears and eyes, thereby transgressing God’s word. Lot’s wife just like every member of the family of Lot heard the message of the Angels as to how to escape from the coming distruction but because she is from the generation of Cain, though she has the form a godliness but while the journey lasted, she remembered that serpent is her grandfather and has no other option than to look back to where she belong. So it’s not all that profess Christ that is of Christ. It’s not everyone that claim to believe or preach Jesus Christ that will end up with Him for obedience to the word of God will prove men.

But whoso looketh into the perfect law of liberty, and continueth therein, he being not a forgetful hearer, but a doer of the work, this man shall be blessed in his deed.

(James 1:25|KJV

That perfect law of liberty is the word of God, it is not just enough to hear God’s word, your attitude to what you heard matters, Noah heard that God will destroy the earth with a flood, though it never rained, and the people mocked him, yet he believed God and acted based on His instructions. Abraham heard God’s voice to sacrifice His only Son Isaac, he did not try to deceive God by presenting Ismeal because that’s what many believers are doing today; instead of giving God their Isaac (their heart) they rather give him their Ismeal (their bank account); to some, God will be presenting Isaac to them (eternal life) but they will rather collect Ismeal (earthly blessings) forgetting that Isaac also has the same blessings with Ismeal but with a covenant of eternity. Abraham gave His only Son Isaac to demonstrate to God that if it’s possible for human being to sacrifice his only Son, then Him too being God can give His only Son for us. God used the faith of Abraham to challenge His own faith, it’s a mystery.

Your level of conformity with God’s word will determine whose seed you are, for those whom God forknew, He predestinate them to conform to the image of His son Jesus Christ, nobody can be mistakenly be born again, born again is not a title, it’s a call to look like Jesus Christ for He is the first born among many brethren.

And, behold, one came and said unto him, Good Master, what good thing shall I do, that I may have eternal life? And he said unto him, Why callest thou me good? there is none good but one, that is, God: but if thou wilt enter into life, keep the commandments. He saith unto him, Which? Jesus said, Thou shalt (3588) do no murder,, Thou shalt not commit adultery, Thou shalt not steal, Thou shalt not bear false witness, Honor thy father and thy mother: and, Thou shalt love thy neighbor as thyself. The young man saith unto him, All these things have I kept from my youth up: what lack I yet? Jesus said unto him, If thou wilt be perfect, go and sell that thou hast,, and give to the poor, and thou shalt have treasure in heaven: and come and follow me. But when the young man heard that saying, he went away sorrowful: for he had, great possessions.

(Matthew 19:16-22|KJV-

So many believers are like this man that meet Jesus Christ, they are born again, holy and they don’t commit sin but the problem with them is that they have great possessions; he cherish his Pastor so much and his Pastor is a woman, so that part of the Bible in 1Tim. 2:11-14 that forbids a woman to teach and Pastor, he can’t obey that one, she has a very nice shape so trousers which God forbid is her favorite, great possessions! There are only 12 Apostles known by the scriptures but can’t let go of them that called themselves Apostles who are but lies. Some people great possessions are their boyfriend and girlfriend, you can’t preach any gospel around them and they will listen, tell them about water baptism and watch them walk away. Such are the generations of Cain, having the form of godliness but deny the power thereof. The power they deny is that main power that changes a sinner to a Saint.

So when we return on Wednesday, we will consider Grace and faith as necessary for eternal salvation and the law of redemption. To be continued…

Faithful and supreme Lord, it is by your mercy that we are not consumed, thank you for calling us by Your name and for the gift of eternal life which was made possible in Christ Jesus. Lord cause all Your sheep to hear Your voice and come to You. Deliver us from excess possessions; break down every wall of religion we have built around our Christianity and give us the grace to be You true and faithful follower in words and deed so that when the good Shepard shall appear in His glory, we will not be a cast away, deliver us through the same Jesus Christ our Passover Lamb! One God, forever and ever. Amen.
