Seduction: Doctrines of Satan

On Monday we began talking on The difference between false and true religion and today we will by the help of the Holy Spirit understand the doctrines of Satan which are the various means through which he plant deceptions in the body of Christ. We are going to take our studies from two biblical historical events.

1. The Doctrine of Self Sovereignty

How art thou fallen from heaven, O Lucifer, son of the morning! how art thou cut down to the ground, which didst weaken the nations! For thou hast said in thine heart, I will ascend into heaven, I will exalt my throne above the stars of God: I will sit also upon the mount of the congregation, in the sides of the north: I will ascend above the heights of the clouds; I will be like the most High. Yet thou shalt be brought down to hell, to the sides of the pit.

(Isaiah 14:12-15|KJV-

The very first rebellion against the Sovereignty of God was engineered by the Satan, He was an archangel of God filled with beauty and well placed in heaven, one day evil thought filled him and he began to plan coup against the dwelling place of the most high God, he succeeded in seducing a number of Angels to rebel against God. This thought led to his defeat and displacement in heaven to earth (Rev. 12) and today he is dwelling among us and still promoting this doctrine of self Sovereignty among believers.

Thou wast perfect in thy ways from the day that thou wast created, till iniquity was found in thee. … Thine heart was lifted up because of thy beauty, thou hast corrupted thy wisdom by reason of thy brightness: I will cast thee to the ground, I will lay thee before kings, that they may behold thee. Thou hast defiled thy sanctuaries by the multitude of thine iniquities, by the iniquity of thy traffick; therefore will I bring forth a fire from the midst of thee, it shall devour thee, and I will bring thee to ashes upon the earth in the sight of all them that behold thee.

(Ezekiel 28:15,17-18|KJV-

In our Churches today, many have been thought to have faith in their ability instead of looking up to God. Many have been thought to follow their mind and instincts instead of following the voice of God, many have been lured into using what they have to get what they want, many have said to themselves that without them the church cannot move forward, many have turned themselves to mini God who must be reverence and worship by others.

How do you explain someone who for the sake of football refuse to attend the worship of God, how do you explain someone who follow the gist of celebrities rather that the reading and meditation on the word. All these has been made possible through demonic understanding that makes God less important and less needful for existence.

The Doctrine of self Sovereignty has turned many preachers into motivational speakers, cheering the hearts of men with with sweet words, no longer sinners attend church and come back more bold and encouraged.

2. Doctrine of Disobedience

And the serpent said unto the woman, Ye shall not surely die: For God doth know that in the day ye eat thereof, then your eyes shall be opened, and ye shall be as gods, knowing good and evil.

(Genesis 3:4-5|KJV-

The devil has encouraged many into violating the instructions of God. He has through disobedience succeeded in driving many out of their God placed garden of Eden and before they could realize it, a Cherub has been placed at the entrance point (Death). The plan of the devil from the very beginning was to displace and dislocate man from the good life and expected ends which God has for him and the only way he can archive it is through disobedience to God and His commandments.

Many today has through disobedience tested the forbidden fruit, many because of disobedience are living outside the will of God, I beg you today in the name of Christ to retrace your steps before it will be too late because there is no repentance in the grave.

God bless you for being part of today’s meeting. May the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ and the love of God and the fellowship of the Holy Spirit be with you all. Amen.
