Two Masters

How we Deny Jesus Daily

The reality of our Christian faith is made manifest in the face of two opinion. The crowd of witnesses will actually know where we belong when we come to the junction of choosing between God and something else.

We all can proclaim Christ with our lips and our dressing and curtsey but the reality of our stand in God is made manifest when we come in contact with challenging situation that will demand us to choose between God and something else.

St. Mark 14:66 Meanwhile, Peter was below in the courtyard. One of the servant girls who worked for the high priest
St. Mark 14:67 noticed Peter warming himself at the fire. She looked at him closely and then said, “You were one of those with Jesus, the Nazarene.”
St. Mark 14:68 Peter denied it. “I don’t know what you’re talking about,” he said, and he went out into the entryway. Just then, a rooster crowed.
St. Mark 14:69 The servant girl saw him standing there and began telling the others, “That man is definitely one of them!”
St. Mark 14:70 Peter denied it again. A little later some other bystanders began saying to Peter, “You must be one of them because you are from Galilee.”
St. Mark 14:71 Peter said, “I swear by God, I don’t know this man you’re talking about.”
St. Mark 14:72 And immediately the rooster crowed the second time. Suddenly, Jesus’ words flashed through Peter’s mind: ” Before the rooster crows twice, you will deny me three times. ” And he broke down and cried.

Peter, out of the 12 disciples of Christ was the only one zealous about Christ, we saw him cut Marcus ears so as to defend Christ, we saw him made bold claims that no one has the ability to kill the Lord. He seems to be the most spiritual of the disciples when he got Christ questions correctly as to who men said He is, but when reality happened, the same Peter denied knowing Jesus Christ.

Some of us are still living like Peter today, we proclaim Christ in the inside, in our fellowship and homes but out there, we see bribe, examination malpractice, lost, cheating, and we deny Christ.

Heaven and the earth bear witness of our Christian faith when we proclaim Christ with our lips and live by the reality of His will.
