Second Week of Prayer: Nigeria Political System Feb. 13, 2019.

As our Saviour Taught us so we Pray
Our Father in Heaven, Hallowed be thy name, thy Kingdom come, thy will be done on earth as it is in Heaven, give us this day our daily bread, and forgive us our Sins as we for give those who sin against us, lead us not into temptation but deliver us from evil, for the Kingdom, the Power, the Glory are all yours now and for ever! Amen.

Church Hyminal: CS 039
1. Jesu, meek and gentle,
son of God most high,
pitying, loving Saviour,
hear thy children’s cry.

2. Pardon our offenses,
loose our captive chains,
break down every idol
which our soul detains.

4. Lead us on our journey,
be thyself the way
through terrestrial darkness
to celestrial day.

5. Jesus, meek and gentle,
Son of God most high,
pitying, loving Savior,
hear thy children’s cry. Rev. G. R. Paynne, 1856.

Behold, the LORD’s hand is not shortened, that it cannot save; neither his ear heavy, that it cannot hear:
But your iniquities have separated between you and your God, and your sins have hid his face from you, that he will not hear.

For your hands are defiled with blood, and your fingers with iniquity; your lips have spoken lies, your tongue hath muttered perverseness.

None calleth for justice, nor any pleadeth for truth: they trust in vanity, and speak lies; they conceive mischief, and bring forth iniquity.

The way of peace they know not; and there is no judgment in their goings: they have made them crooked paths: whosoever goeth therein shall not know peace.

Therefore is judgment far from us, neither doth justice overtake us: we wait for light, but behold obscurity; for brightness, but we walk in darkness.

For our transgressions are multiplied before thee, and our sins testify against us: for our transgressions are with us; and as for our iniquities, we know them;

And judgment is turned away backward, and justice standeth afar off: for truth is fallen in the street, and equity cannot enter.

Yea, truth faileth; and he that departeth from evil maketh himself a prey: and the LORD saw it, and it displeased him that there was no judgment.

And he saw that there was no man, and wondered that there was no intercessor: therefore his arm brought salvation unto him; and his righteousness, it sustained him.

According to their deeds, accordingly he will repay, fury to his adversaries, recompence to his enemies; to the islands he will repay recompence.

And the Redeemer shall come to Zion, and unto them that turn from transgression in Jacob, saith the LORD.
Bible KJV – Isaiah – Chapter 59:1,2,3,4,8,9,12,14,15,16,18,20

Merciful God we come before the throne of Mercy this day on behalf of our dear nation Nigeria! Lord we know that we as a nation, we are not worth in thy sight, but we know that you are the same God whose nature is to have mercy,

Loving Father, look upon us in your Mercy.
Behold oh Lord our leaders, King of Glory, we commend them before you because you are the only God who can help them, many of them has denied your ways, many of them has deprive justice and equity! Many has soiled their hands in innocent blood, many has hatched evil and conceived it. Merciful God for the sake of the elite of your Kingdom, show them your mercy.

Prince of Peace, Justice and truth is far off our streets, we have named the name of Christ in this nation but have not departed from inequity! We are truly sorry for all our sins. Merciful God, arise in your mercy and hear us, arise in your mercy and heal our Land, arise in your mercy and contend with them that contend with you. Thank you blessed Jesus! For in Jesus most meek name we Pray! Amen.
