National Week of Prayers 3.

As our Saviour fought us so we pray
Our Father in Heaven, Hallowed be thy name, thy Kingdom come, thy will be done on earth as it is in Heaven, give us this day our daily bread, and forgive us our Sins as we for give those who sinned against us, lead us not into temptation but deliver us from evil, for the Kingdom, the Power, the Glory are all yours now and for ever! Amen.

Anglican Hyminal: A&M Revised 266

1. Thou, whose almighty word
chaos and darkness heard,
and took their flight;
hear us, we humbly pray,
and, where the Gospel day
sheds not its glorious ray,
let there be light!

2. Thou who didst come to bring
on thy redeeming wing
healing and sight,
health to the sick in mind,
sight to the in-ly blind,
now to all mankind,
let there be light!

3. Spirit of truth and love,
life-giving holy Dove,
speed forth thy flight!
Move on the waters’ face
bearing the lamp of grace,
and, in earth’s darkest place,
let there be light!

4. Holy and blessed Three,
glorious Trinity,
Wisdom, Love, Might;
boundless as ocean’s tide,
rolling in fullest pride,
through the world far and wide,
let there be light! Amen. Rev. J. Marriott, 1813

Luke 4:24 Well, let me tell you something: No prophet is ever welcomed in his hometown.

Luke 4:25 Isn’t it a fact that there were many widows in Israel at the time of Elijah during that three and a half years of drought when famine devastated the land,

Luke 4:26 but the only widow to whom Elijah was sent was in Sarepta in Sidon?

Luke 4:27 And there were many lepers in Israel at the time of the prophet Elisha but the only one cleansed was Naaman the Syrian.”
